I find it hard to explain this feeling.
A feeling of a personal grief that is actually a collective one, a national grief.
the saddest day of the year that once it's over the happiest day of the year begins.
how can I describe this feeling? looking for someone in the streets that will give me that look of "I've been there, I understand" How can I explain the sudden bursts of tears when the radio is playing songs as usual , no one wears white and that terrible feeling I get when I hear the number 23,544 and the number 60 that added this year.
I can tell you about the meaning of today, the meaning of the flag to me, the meaning of " the silver platter" of Natan Alterman and the goosebumps I get when I hear it , I can do all that but I'm asking you to take few minutes and read about a fallen soldiers or a terror victim and remember them.
Remember them because thank to them Israel exists. my home. our home.
May their memory be a blessing
