SATO V.P. - Lauren Kerner
Howdy doo! This is USYours truly, Lauren Lola Elizabeth Kerner, coming at you from my hometown of Orange County, California. This year I have the pleasure of being your Far West SA/TO VP. As a SA/TO, I love small woodland creatures, pixies, and trees. . . Just kidding! Let me break it down for you with these factoid snacks for you to munch on for you to get a better idea of who I am:
- I am 16 years old and a junior at Mission Viejo High School.
- I love the outdoors (hiking, skiing, biking, mountaineering, kayaking, camping)
- My favorite movies are Shakespeare in Love, 500 Days of Summer, Funny Girl, and every Disney movie ever made!
- I am a mixture of Cherokee and Ukrainian.
- I am tall! I’m 5’9” and still growing.
- My life is full of these perfect, simple moments that I document in a journal.
- Music is my life: Soul, R&B, Indie, Jazz, Funk, Motown, Blues, Rock, and Alternative are the favorites.
- My dream is to be a Rabbi for teenagers.
- I read every night before bed.
- My eyes and hair change colors (blue to green to gray; brown to blonde: not dyed)
- I, with my entire heart and soul, love children.
- I’m a big believer that everyone is beautiful.
- I annotate my Tanakh.
- FOOD: I love it! I love food.
- I could live off of Starbucks for the rest of my life.
- I have a tall, dark, and handsome younger brother, David (14), who enjoys long walks on the beach with girls that do USY. He’s also my bestie.
- Flannels, sweatpants, messy buns, nuff said.
- Campfires and jam sessions, nothing better.
- I always paint my nails.
- I have so much love in my heart and I just can’t contain it.
- I was emotionally scarred by a chapter USY food fight.
- My youngest brother, Daniel (forever 10), just happens to be my guardian angel.
- I’m always smiling, singing, rapping, or all three.
- My overall goal for this year is to find something that inspires you to make a difference in your own life, the lives of the people around you, or in the world.
- I am so excited to be your SA/TO.
